The people residing in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries comprise of diverse ethnic, cultural, religious backgrounds and have variations in skin types from light to dark but share a common disease burden. Skin diseases, STD diseases and leprosy cases are very commonly seen in SAARC countries. South Asian Regional Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists & Leprologists (SARAD) is purely an academic forum for interchange of ideas and spread of knowledge on current Dermatology issues among the Dermatologists of SAARC countries.

On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to welcome you all to the 12th South-Asian Regional Conference of Dermatology (SARCD XII 2023) to be held on 6th – 7th October 2023 at Galadari Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

It is for the third time Sri Lanka is hosting the conference after a period of 10 years. In recent years even with the global pandemic, the South-Asian region has achieved many milestones in the field of economy, education, and health. However, many more avenues are to be explored in the field of dermatology, venereology, and leprology in the Asian region to keep abreast with the rest of the world...

Sri Lanka College of Dermatologists (SLCD) is proud to organize the 12th SARCD, following the success of the 8th SARCD which was held in Colombo, exactly 10 years ago.
